This year, I have been thinking about how we have approached the biography project in the past and I've been rethinking ways to define the task for my students. As I read the text, I find myself creating questions about how this will relate and/or change the approach.
I've also used novelist to come up with books for my students.
I plan on using the ice cream graphic organizer to help my students organize their writing.

I love the ice cream cone (and the sandwich, too. Novelist is really helpful for the kid who wants a book "just like" one he or she had read. It sounds like Task definition made an impression on you. I agree that it is so important. I am glad we are affecting your thinking :-)
